Topeka native NiJaree Canady has wrapped up her first professional softball season in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League with the Texas Volts, bringing her rookie campaign to a close after her final appearance on Saturday, July 19. In the Volts’ 10-1 loss to Portland, Canady worked 1 2/3 innings and allowed five runs.
