Corn condition was reported at 14% very poor and 17% poor, with 34% rated good and 8% excellent. Corn silking reached 97%, equal to last year, and dough was 87%.
Soybeans were rated 4% very poor and 13% poor, with 44% good. Soybean blooming was 94% and setting pods was 78%. Sorghum condition stood at 12% very poor and 21% poor, while sorghum headed was 72%. Cotton condition was 5% very poor and 21% poor, with cotton setting bolls at 93%.
Pasture and range conditions were also reported, with 11% very poor and 19% poor, and 28% rated good. The data were provided at the county level by USDA Farm Service Agency, KSU Extension Service and other reporters across Kansas.
