An Oklahoma man charged in the murders of two Kansas women is asking that the case be dismissed, according to information included in the filing. Tad Cullum is one of five people charged in connection with the deaths of Veronica Butler and Jillian Kelley in Texas County, Oklahoma, in 2024.
Cullum’s request comes in a motion filed last week, where he alleges the Texas County district attorney violated a court gag order. The motion cites discussion of the case in an April blog and contact with a Wichita news station.
A ruling on the dismissal request is expected on July 30.
